Get ready for Lipitor every day, or one of those others.

Total Cholesterol, should be under 200
HDL Cholesterol, should be greater than 40
LDL Cholesterol, should be under 100, optimum under 70
    Triglycerides, under 140

My last numbers from the cardiologist were...
Total Cholesterol, should be under 200 - 149
HDL Cholesterol, should be greater than 40 - 42
LDL Cholesterol, should be under 100, optimum under 70 - 90
    Triglycerides, should be under 140 - 84

A fuck load of exercise will bring that down to a level where you don't need Lipitor/meds. You're young.

That looks almost identical to mine. Fuck it. I'm 42. Ya gotta go sometime and I'd rather drop at 60 with a MI than to lay around 20 years with cancer.

I think the triglycerides are whats driving the whole thing up.

A fuckload of excercise is the plan, plus, in the 4 months since I got married, my diet has improved ridiculously. I look back and I was basically eating shit every day.

I'm used to occasionally getting lipid profiles on fat kids (whose numbers still dont look that bad compared to some of us), so my eyes nearly popped out when I saw my numbers.

My doc put me on a trifecta of Niaspan, Tricor, and Zocor about 3 months ago. I didn't get all the lab results, but he did mention my triglycerides had dropped from 215 to 75. :woohoo: He said he'd probably take me off the cholesterol meds completely in February.
