Damn all it takes is a handfull of low passes, that your recievers can't catch, in Detroit to earn the starting job?!?!?! And we thought WE had QB probs before.

  2. it was no secret going into the season Harrington would be starting eventually this year. Most writers had picked by game 4. Most felt Harrington should have been starting since week 1.

what it boils down to is this: Harrington will take two years to develop, McMahon will take 4. McMahon just isn't accurate and holds on to the ball for too long.

Plus MorningWood needs to win at least one of the next two before their bye week, if not, he'll get canned.

Human Pylon (ie Eric Davis) is considering retiring....two rookies will start at CB too.

Harrington is a highly touted franchise player. Winke/Peete/Lewis/Craig are players that would barely make anyone elses roster. No comparison to to QB problems.

Actually Harrington is a rookie who hasn't accomplished anything in this league. Sure he has upside, but he will get thrashed behind that line. Good luck little Joey - your gonna need it.

replace 'Harrington' with 'Weinke' and 'upside' with 'very little going for him' and you have last years Panthers.

  7. why are you so caught up in this Harrington vs Peppers thing? From what I can gather, pre-draft everyone thought Weinke was the long term answer...most were debating Jammer, McKinnie, and trading down.

If your thing is that the Panthers were correct in picking Peppers over Harrington, you'd best wait a couple of years to draw that conclusion. The DE position is a lot easier to make an "impact" on as a rookie than a QB. The only rookie QB I can think of that did anything was Dan Marino. I can't remember a DE ever leading a team to a SB...or even the playoffs...

it's the only thing some panther fans have had to brag about for a while. The harrington v Peppers over the first 2 games of their career comparison. That and some tarheel homers wanting to thump their chest.

You boys take this stuff way to seriously sometimes. Is it so bad to pick some fun at Harrington now that the Panthers finally got a bigtime playa? Gimmie a fuckn break.

Where he played in college is irrelevant but it wasn't at Bama - who IMO, shouldn't even be discussed at least until they are a legitimate division one team that isn't on probation for breaking countless NCAA regulations AGAIN. They are about as irrelevant as a pimple on a elephants ass right now. Enough about Bama and enough with the jeolousy about the Heels crystal clean program.

zzzzzzzz....of course it helps to have a squeaky clean program when the head of the NCAA appeals commitee is the AD at Clemson. i'm not sure how many programs could get away with a star players mother working for a major sports agent and not even get investigated.
