    I put $6.00 in my tank this morning to get me to work, thinking it would drop atleast another .10 this afternoon and I can go ahead and fill up. still $3.06 here

    hey, moron. Gas prices never come down as fast as the price of oil. Oil today will be under $70 a barrel. It will start slowing down once it gets under sixty $.
    This all just shows you what speculation does. Four dollar a gallon gas had zero to do with consumption or Mid East tension or Nigeria or China or India. Just a bunch of hedge funds and pension funds taking the market for a ride.

    Where are the "Gas prices are falling just before the election" conspiracy theorists? Oh that's right, Bush isn't running for office this time. :orangehat:

    $2.69 a gallon yesterday, down from a high of $3.99 late in the summer.

    Futures took an overnight ass-kicking so the drop should continue through the short term.
