I've seen previews of Daredevil when I've been in the cinema lately and I will NOT be going to see it - I don't like Ben Affleck - so I won't get to hear the soundtrack. The Paloalto single Fade Out/In has just been released in the UK, probably to co-incide with the film's release. I think it's OK - no more than that.

When I was in Denver I drove around a bit. I did a tour of the brewery in Golden, saw BBs grave, then went to Black Hawk and Central City. These towns may have changed over the last few years - there was a lot of development going on - but when I was there they were like frontier towns. Wooden buildings and dirt roads. Quaint!

 

oy! forgot about that. true dat, twinks. well, colorado is 100% beautiful! i love boulder. also denver. also, aurora...LOL... also, highlands. LOL...

i wanna go to the garden of the gods. ooooh, i know, i will go there in may, i think. spring and the garden of the gods! WOW.

have you gone downtown colorado springs? dude, why is it so blah? tim lives there...oops. i better not bash the springs. the AF academy is there. home of a slew of hunk cadets! also WPAFB is down there. i like that base. got friends there.

black hawk and central city are still same. quaint. they just added a few more casinos. twinks and i and a bunch of friends went there some years ago. got drunk, won some money and ate at that irish place. then we got slushed at this one bar and grill.... played poker, and drank some more. we went right after work, on a saturday, after over time! remember twinks?

for tourists, i recommend vail or aspen. snooty, but nice. for just seeing colorado, denver and boulder. next time you are here, give twinks and i heads up. we'll buy you a drink or more at the lazy dog, hops or dave and busters. better bring your ID. those idiots there card old people. good brew at hops.

yeah, i dont blame you. ben affleck is kinda lame.

 

I don't know whether I'll get to Denver again. I'm trying to get to see as much of the States as possible, so it depends on when the Panthers play in Denver next, and whether there are 'more interesting' road games that season. I still have a few 'NFL' cities to check out before I return to Denver. Places like Seattle, Phoenix, Dallas, etc.

I don't recognise any of the bars you mention. The only 'downtown' bar I went to was Stars Sports Garden (Blake Street?), and they didn't card this 'old person'!

I hope to have a long weekend in New York when we play the Giants this year. A friend of mine who's into football (a Raiders' fan) has never been to NY so I may show him the sights! Is CBGBs still open?

The Panthers also play in Phoenix this year so we're thinking of flying to SanFran, staying for a few days and taking in a Raiders game, then moving on to Phoenix.

Hooters is not my kind of place (mainly because of the customers ), and I've never heard of Dave and Busters!

 

CBGB's? we got C.B. and Potts. it's a bar and grill. nice place by fiddlers green.

i dont know if CBGB's is still here, but CB&Potts is. good hor d' vours there! (sp?)

i am older than most people i know. come to denver. am serious. D&B is good only bec they have the arcade, if you like that stuff. well, food is great too...nice waiters/waitresses.

wait...wait...dont jump to conclusions. i run with the age group of twinks! she thought we were same age! i am a very late bloomer....but way ahead of my time!

 

Nope, not good enough! There's too much of that country of yours still to see before I do Denver again. But I'll be back some time, hopefully before your eyesight starts fading (if you're as old as you say!).
