Why should I have? The side effects were 100 times worse than the 'depression'. No thanks.

You also state it as if I came clean about something I'd been hiding. I didn't 'admit' anything, I just wrote it. Just because it changed your life for the better doesn't mean it's great for everyone. And anyone who feels WORSE than my side effects before they take the stuff damn well better take something!

natural male enhancement can be achieved, cheaply, by securing the end of your unit into a vise and walking backward.

No doctors. No expensive prescriptions. No potential kidney failure, unsightly boils and blisters, Stage III blackheads, premature ejaculation or explosive intermittent diarrhea.

the one downside is you hangdown really hangs down -- like a strand of spaghetti.

Good friend of mine got on Zoloft...hated it for the first 10-15 days or so. The Dr. told him to give it time. Now he wishes he had gotten on it 10 years ago.

What I was referring to that you admitted was that you only took it for 4 days. And please show me where I said you were hiding something. I looked back over my posts and didn't see it.

And from the sound of it, you didn't need meds. Yeah- the initial side-effects suck on most SSRI's for a few days but your body adjusts to them.

Effexor for me - side effects only lasted 2 days. I used to be nervous and/or anxious about eveything. Leveled me out and now I feel "normal". I've been taking it for about 2 years now. Probably will stay on it for life.

Drug and insurance companies rule the world.

    :agreed:

They can't regulate pot, so it won't make any money for the drug companies... it will never be legal. It has nothing to do with the 'welfare of our society or youth.'

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I say avoid them. You made it through pain I cannot imagine without them - I say keep trying different things.

And FWIW - the job of a doctor is to prescribe meds. That's what they do - fill scrips. For the most part, they won't recognize that you *might* be better off without the meds.[/quote]

These are my thoughts exactly. I might as well have smoked pot every day, and I've done that before and the end result was bad. I felt that out of it on the zoloft.

If someone smoked the same amount of dope every day for 2-4 weeks, they wouldn't feel as stoopid 4 weeks into it as you did the first few days. It doesn't necessarily mean your body adjusted, it just means you became accustomed to it.

I'm not at all opposed to the use of these drugs, I have close friends whose lives are much better because of them. I do question how widespread their use is, and the willingness of any doctor ( I just went to a regular old doctor ) to dish out scrips if you just walk in, say you saw the commercial, and ask for them.
