Jon Lester threw a no-hitter tonight against the Kansas City Royals for the Red Sox. Congratulations to the sox and all their fans.

There will be no better story this year. Even for Red Sox haters, this is a great moment.

Lester got stronger as the game went on. From MVN -"Lester was throwing in the low 90’s in the beginning of the game and every inning his velocity was increasing with better control. The fifth inning marked some pitches at 93 m.p.h. then as his outing progressed Lester threw 95 in the seventh inning and to close out the no-no he blew a 96 m.p.h. heater past Alberto Callaspo." Awesome!!!!

How about Tek catching his 4th career no-no. MLB record.

great point. This is why varitek is the red sox captain. Varitek is an excellent game caller and is up there with the best catchers of all time. He is a true field general that anyone would love to have on their team. I am not a Sox fan, in fact I kinda hate them since they have the word "sox" in their name, haha. But, that team has done what I hope my cubbies can do.....so I admire them.
