    something that really jumps out when I watch ESPN classic college football games from the 70's, 80's is that when a guy makes a great run, or pass, or tackle or kick return, etc............they simply ran back to the huddle or sideline and acted like it was no big deal, that they were expected to do well.
    Those were the good ole days when it comes to on-field behavior. the players now seem to just want to bring attention to self. and the coaches seem to tolerate it.

    what do you attribute the different behavior to now?

    and Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, who came up with a TD celebration that was actually based on a Rufus Thomas song



    As far as overall sportsmanship, though, I think the NFL is better now than it ever as been.
