If anyone takes Young above Lienart they are going to regret it for many years. Based on my limited knowlege I would take Cutler before Young.

No, it's intended to be a multi-year deal but it's structured so that the Saints have an out if Brees' shoulder proves unable to hold up (think Chad Pennington). They have a large roster bonus next year that will presumably be changed into a signing bonus assuming Brees stays relatively healthy.

Why go against the opnion of the one guy in the NFL who oughtta be familiar with Leinart, sheesh.

Well, I know why, but it's stupid.

I'll elaborate... I'm a musician by trade, and once I worked in a group (I already had about 20 years in as a pro) with a self made multi millionaire. He made his dough because he had balls, and knew his shit *in his field*. He loved music, but the mofo didn't know shit about music or running bands, hiring players, etc. Or respecting people who did. His ego was so fucking big he wouldn't listen to anyone who could help him. That's most sports owners for ya too.

I'm on the Leinart bandwagon. I'd trade up and get him!

If we could actually afford what it would take to move into the top 10 without compromising future drafts I would say YES
I love Jake and all but even by next season both of those kids should have higher QB ratings, and by virtue of the ridiculously higher upside alone I would pick either to takeover for Jake by next season

Agreed, he'll be a top 10 no doubt...

I would have made that deal for Palmer when he was coming out
