One of my friends just said John Clayton was on The Mike and Mike Show this morning and said Leinart could fall to the teens. Is this true? Seems doubtful

If John Clayton said it, it is doubtful.

Crazy stuff happens, but I'd be shocked. We don't need a QB, but I'd trade my whole draft for Leinart. After a couple of seasons he'll be in that #3-#8 range of best active quarterbacks for the next decade or so.

I'm most surprised the Aints went for Brees with Leinart easily there for the picking. The Jets could use him or the Titans. No way he falls out of the top 10 or 5 IMO.

Clayton must be wearing his Thursday panties...got his days of the week mixed up, now he's all flustered.

It's crazy in the sense that it shouldn't happen, but not in the sense that it won't. If teams are dumb enough to take Alex Smith #1 overall, they could also be dumb enough to let Leinart slide out of the top ten. I agree that it's not likely, but I'm hearing far too many criticisms of Leinart to think that it's impossible.

Its not unrealistic. The Titans are said to favor Young, and a few teams even have Cutler a littler higher than Leinart. If the Jets trading down thing does happen it makes this even more possible. There aren't a lot of teams 1-10 that are desperate for a QB. Some could use an upgrade, but have bigger holes. So a Leinart slide like that wouldn't be outta the question.

Just to clearify, the Tits GM is high on Young or thought to be anyway. Fisher and Chow want Leinart.
I would think the desires of the HC and OC would be in the best interest of the GM and what difference would it make in Tennessee to have a QB from Houston over a QB from Cali?

One of those three could make it out of the top 10, but Leinart ain't the one.
