....to make something out of nothing.

Bobblin made a nice post about talking to Plav at a night spot and it turns into a thread about how captains shouldn't go out and drink. I would say you are NOT fit to be a captain of a sports team if you don't know how to go throw a few down with your "of age" teammates. ;)

a guy can't even have a drink without people making something of nothing.

there are some serious "holier than thou" a-holes on that board. now some guy is replying to all my posts "byob"...which is kinda funny, but just another example of the dorks on that board that act like a college basketball player is not also a college STUDENT.

The responses were disturbing, especially knowing a lot of them joke about what kind of beer they drink. I guess Plavich should live in a bubble and not plow the groupies either.

That's it, somebody on the team drank alcohol........next season's over. I'm calling the ticket office and cancelling my renewal. Its just gotta be just like the fight from last season, right ? :sarcastic

I feel like I should go over there and say since I saw the Head Coach pushing a shopping cart in a grocery store that sells beer that I think he's got an alcohol problem. :sarcastic :sarcastic

Jebus - that is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard.

I totally agree with you metro - and in my sports experiences - a team that goes out and has a few beers and gets to know each other becomes a better team. Man - what is the world coming to?

Reminds me of a roommate that I was assigned one year.......he thought everyone who drank was bad.

Of course, he had very few friends in college and was very quickly left to live in Moore Hall by himself.

Look in the seventies I know for a fact the final four team had a few fellas who liked to smoke a little "wacky tabacky"

It is ok to hoist a few beers

I think the responses were a little out of hand. Seeing that my college carreer suffered (no big loss, not that I was in the limelight or anything) from alcahol consumption once I hit 21, I can understand the concern, but I don't trust a man that doesn't drink unless they are recovering alcaholics.

Hey, anyone know how to spell (tee-to-tal-ers)?
