I always thought that LCD was more expensive and they seem to look better to me.

HD is a pain in the ass. Twice as expensive to produce live content and no offsetting revenue stream. Fuck HD.

The women are hot, yes, but I have to admit I was talking about the food. Makes me hungry.

Don't do it! I have found myself watching all kinds of useless shit just because it looks so good.

Why should I say it when you already said it?

As far as plasma, yeah it has inherent flaws too. I find it unquestionably the best decision for fans of sports or videogames, but some would argue that burn-in would negate all the benefits of plasma.

Anyway, 49erpi is right. I didn't come into this thread to start a fight, I just found some of the things you were saying weren't right, technically. Your first post in the thread I couldn't agree with more. Well, for the most part anyway.

I just thought I'd offer a different POV rather than the one you were putting out there, and like you, I stand by what I said, if not the overall tone.

I've got to do some research on 60fps on blu or hd-dvd. At first I was thinking it might just be a space issue but on second thought it would be a bandwidth issue. That would be incredibly short-sided actually if neither could produce a 1080p60 picture. I was thinking about it ONLY in terms of movies, so for sporting events or tv shows it definitely could matter. Honestly, that would be a shame.

With the slow adoption of HD media thanks to high priced TVs and this stupid format war, we'll be lucky to see half the stuff on DVD migrated over. To think that either tech might not be good enough for real HD Super Bowls for instance would be depressing.

I'm hoping the 'next' media involves uncompressed video, which is about 200 gigs for a movie. That's still awhile off, I don't want to wait that long for true 30/60fps media.

Anyone else notice how good nascar looks on plasma HD? Unfortunately, I don't watch racing but when I've seen it on my plasma vs lcd it is no contest. I guess it is the contrast of the colors and the black. I wish football looked as good.
