My plasma doubles as a room heater in my living room. It's awesome.

Theyre all about the same Putt. Just get a name brand you recognize and the best deal you can find. You dont need 1080p at that size.

or maybe you want to be able to get out of your couch and still watch the game... I have a 35' wide room with my TV in it, it's a LITTLE wider than my TV and a LITTLE wider than the couch and chairs right in front of the TV... Maybe if you live in a tent or a one-bedroom, a DLP would be great, but then it would be TOO BIG.

DLP sucks, you're just too cheap to admit you bought an inferior product.

It's not really all that hot, but within like 3 inches you can definitely feel the glow lol. You'll want to make sure your vents are exposed, especially if wall mounting the tv. Allow for plenty of ventilation and you won't have any problems, they are designed to run hot.

I saw that WalMart has Dynex(sp)32" LCD for under $400. It's not a top name, but I imagine the same company(ies) make the parts for all the brands.

I didn't buy one. I will admit, however, that I am too cheap to buy a 35-foot wide living room. you got me there. But if I did buy one, it would be plenty sufficient for my cheap-ass 20-foot wide living room. And because all my penny-pinching ass is good for is a 20-foot wide living room, my couch and chairs are well withing the magical 170-degree viewing area. Lucky me: my shitty ass DLP would look just as good as your primo LCD at half the cost.

FWIW, the 32" LCD is perfect for my 13 1/2' x 14 1/2' living room.

20' wide = anyone sitting 10' back at the edge of your room is 45 degrees off already, assuming the TV is perfectly centered. DLP at 45 degrees is really crappy. Push that person farther forward and they quickly get to a point where they can't even see what's on the TV. In my room, my kitchen and living room are joined, so when I'm washing dishes or sitting at the counter and having a sammich, the angle is pretty steep, and this is more and more common. Since you don't own one, you really don't know what you're talking about anyway. And I don't own an LCD.

I'm glad we came to this understanding. :grouphug:
