Seems like the appropriate place. Anyone watching or watched this show?

  2. All I know is that they blocked off the fucking street and made me 45 minutes late to my weekly basketball game... fuckers.

    I should know better...

    but i'll ask anyway...

WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

  4. The grammys are/were held at the Kodak theatre in Hollywood. They blocked off the street for the red-carpet, media, etc. Made a huge mess of traffic which caused me considerable inconvenience.

it's not like it's the only event of the year...

at the kodak theater. did you complain when the oscars held up a much larger area, too? i'm sure there were traffic alerts everywhere, considering it was LA.

  6. you seem to be taking things sorta personally... your uncle the event coordinator or something?

you seem to suggest that because they're the *latin* grammys that i'm somehow more upset that they made me late. trust me, i get equally pissed when white folk are involved. just so happens that i wasn't inconvenienced by the oscars because i wasn't in the neighborhood.

i implied nothing. i merely asked if you complained the same way you did tonight. as i said, i imagine there were traffic alerts in the LA papers and traffic reports on tv and radio. you coulda avoided those 'fuckers' that way

  8. can't really avoid it when you're working right in it and have to drive thru it to get where you're going.

they closed hollywood blvd from la brea to highland. hollywood blvd is the northernmost east-west street west of la brea, and highland is the ONLY street that gets you over the hill to the valley. as such, there are many, many people that clog that area even on a good day.

given that i was a working about 2 blocks west of la brea on hollwood blvd, there's not a whole lot i could have done to avoid the issue. and no, there weren't a whole lot of notifications. hell, i didn't even know it was the grammys till somebody told me later.

they pull this shit all the time in hollwood. the marathon is a day where you just can forget about working in hollwood (which isn't too bad considering they hold it on a sunday). they block of streets for premiers and movie shoots and parades... they don't bother to make arrangements with the people in these areas. you just have to figure it out on your own. it pisses me off.
