I had mine done in Charlotte in 2003 and it was less than a thousand dollars for both eyes. They talked me into buying tear plugs which added another $800 to it but still it was less than $2k.

I went to doctor Selkin, I am not sure he practices in Charlotte any more.

BTW I have been really happy with my results. I had 20/10 after the surgery. I do not think it has went away much if any. I did have some starburst effect at night for a few months after wards but it has gone away.

Had another checkup this morning. My right eye is "pretty much 20/20" now, but my left eye is unchanged from last week. I go back in a month.

My eyes burned pretty bad for a few hours right after the procedure when the pain blockers wore off. I was fine the next day though.

BCBS gave me a discount ($800) and I also used my FSA on it also.

All in all, was about $4000 and all worth it :punk:

Me, too. They told me to go home, take a couple of Tylenol PM, and sleep as much as I can. It was good advice.

My wife had to drive me home, and I went and sat in our bedroom in the dark with a towel over my eyes for a couple of hours. It was pretty bad but it did not last real long. My wife's ex husband was being a jerk that day and not letting her mother pick up my step sons. I got pissed at him and it actually was a good thing since it made me forget about my eyes burning.
