yeah that (he was on the pro side) was included. It was a rabbit hole I decided not to go down. Just the raw draft info ;-)

I think one point I took from it was it was a system he came from, that did things a certain way.

Add: oh, and I would like to reiterate, his evaluation of pro OTs sure did suck in 2014.

Also, adding, he was not the decision maker in any of those drafts as far as that goes.

In this case, it wouldn't matter who our GM was. JR was never going to allow us to sign Collins or even try to sign him.

 

I haven't followed it closely, but I thought he was cleared. What would the concern in signing him be?

 

Cleared is still an ambiguous term. Cleared of being there and pulling the trigger? Yes, I do believe he is cleared of that. Cleared of any involvement? Until they apprehend and convict someone of that crime without his name coming up then he will not be cleared cleared.

I am not suggesting he did have anything to do with it.

 

I obviously know zip about it but on the surface, motive would be if he were the child's father. Which he isn't. So her blackmailing him with the child is out. OTOH, they only just now have the proof of that, so maybe she told him he was the father. See? I know zip.

 

A smart team would have used a 7th round supplemental pick on him and see how things shook out

 

If he had been drafted then he could refuse to sign and go back into the draft next year.
