    still searching.....

The Atlanta Braves seem to have no one on their staff willing to step up as their closer. Bobby Cox appears to have cast his lot with Chris Reitsma but this guy is about as bad as Dan Kolb. Reitsma surrendered 4 runs and left the game with 2 on and one out in the top of the 9th inning vs. the O's in Atlanta on Saturday. If they dont make a deal for a closer their run of NL East titles is in serious jeopardy.

I agree. I thought Reitsma was stepping up but that appears to be wrong. A closer is the top priority now. Braves have good pitching <again> and little hitting <as usual> so a good closer is a must. Kolb ain't it...

Not closing, but Kolb has started to pitch much better.

The Braves have pitching....they need some hitting.Chipper is about ready to come back though, and that will really help...if he is truely healthy.

I still don't think the Braves have a really tough team to beat in that division. The Nats have been using mirrows this season...their luck is starting to fade.

they got lucky last night. the nats missed 3 pop-ups that i saw and atlanta scored the the winning run on the last one. kolb's runs we not charged to him but he cant seem to get the first two or three batters he faces out. if men are on the y're gonna score, you just know it.
