best player in the NBA today and it's not even close

and I would say his 81 is pretty damn comparable to Wilt's 100

Wilt and his team went into that game trying to get him 100 points.

It was basically toss it into Wilt for dunks and layups

Kobe was driving and throwing up 20 foot jumpers

and his team was getting it's ass kicked in the third quarter and if he didn't take over the Raptors win

46 FG attempts and 20 FT attempts. 81 points, so what?

 

No matter how much you dislike the guy, 81 points - especially for a perimeter player - is pretty awesome. In comparison, Wilt took 63 shots (mostly dunks and layups against players 6" shorter) and had 32 FT attempts in his 100 point game...

It might be fun to see Kobe-boy play a real game of ball without the carries, push offs, and no 3 point line.......just sayin.........2 assists....:229031_ha

 

Same rules as all of the other players in the NBA and how many of them have scored 81? Oh, and Wilt had 2 assists in his 100 point game too - thanks for reminding me of that.

 

yeah, its everyday that a post player would be expected to have more than a few assists, just like a point guard.......hmm, yeah......ok.....and I wont even get into the so called rules of the game that are not enforced and the changes in the game since Wilt's time.....keep on keeping on...

 

well, let's see.

Threw so many temper tanrum's that the coach with the most rings in history felt like he had to get out of dodge.

Continuously whined about haveing to play in the shadow of the most dominant player in the league.

Got called a head case (or something like that) by said coach.

Threatened to leave town unless "big brother" was traded.

Spends the whole next season surrounded by stiffs chucking up shots trying to prove how he can carry a team - which too his credit he did. Carried them right out of the fucking playoffs.

That's just off the top of my head though. I'm sure there are more.

 

I didn't realize that Kobe had been switched from shooting guard to point guard this year. Thanks for the info.
