Heard Kobe outscored the other team through 3 quarters yesterday:

    Kobe 62
    Other team 61

Then he sat out the 4th quarter.

I don't like the guy much, but that's impressive.

Longtime Lakers fan here (I'm old enough to have watched Wilt play in person) and I really liked Kobe his first few years. Still think he has a ton of talent, but dislike his attitude about as much as I do Iverson's.

can't beleive he didn't play a few more minutes of the fourth - he was only 10 points shy of the Lakers record. 11 shy of David Thompson's 73 points which I believe was the second most short of Wilt's 100 point game.

like his personna or not he is a helluva ball player

what a team player.but yeah he should have beat Baylors record.

I think a few have tied for 73. David Robinson had 71 back in 94'. .scored 71 last game of the season to beat Shaq for scoring title. got it by 1/10's of a point I believe

People now know that he could have beat the record, but chose not too. Maybe that will help bring back the team's fans that don't like him for running Shaq out of LA. You know, being a team player, etc.
