In the 20+ years that I lived in the QC (as a UNC Charlotte student and a normal resident), I made the drive lots of time down to Ft. Mill to catch the AA/AAA Charlotte Knights in action . . . . Enjoyed seeing future MLB Players (Manny Ramirez & Jim Thome) and others in action at Knights Stadium (aka The Castle) . . . .

With this being the final season of the Knights down in Fort Mill before they move to BB&T Ballpark in Uptown CLT (April 2014) I decided to finally get off my duff and head down there to see a game. The stadium never saw its ultimate dream come thru (hosting MLB and/or NFL franchise) but it was a pretty reliable, solid minor league ballpark during its 24 years of existence. Hopefully I can squeeze in 1 or 2 more games before the end of the season, but if not au revoir Knights Stadium !!!!!!

PS: After the game, I headed uptown to check out the latest progress on BB&T Ballpark . . . Its coming along really good I will say !!!!
