I guess everyone listens to music for different reasons. I do not really care about lyrics in hard rock and metal. I like a catchy chorus but I really do not care much about whether the lyrics are deep or thought provoking. If the lyrics are not really deep or meaningful then it leaves itself open to where I can make it mean whatever I want it to mean to me.

Not really I just do not like hearing some hippie rockstar give me a morality lesson in a song.

Old school country from the 70's and maybe earlier had lots of deep lyrics. Also, NYC hip-hop like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, etc. have VERY deep lyrics. It is modern country and the gangsta rap that is complete crap.

Anything from P. Diddy is complete trash and yet he is a multi-multi-millionaire. America...#1 for all the right reasons.

There is a mis-print in the video representation. This song was actually released in 1979 with the Dynasty album.
