I got Rogers slipping to #20. I want to think Miami will move out of the #2 spot, but it would have to be someone wanting Edwards badly enough to get ahead of Cleveland.

Agreed. You know, sooner or later there's going to be a Moneyball-style revolution in football too.

I just saw another highlight reel of Alex Smith. You know, in all the games I've watched him play and all the highlights I've seen, I've still never seen him throw the ball on a rope. I mean doesn't that say something?

And on another note, I want to express how utterly disappointed I am with the draft coverage this year. The guys on t.v. are inane, but GBN and Scouts Inc used to be respectable sources of analysis. Now both of them not only make questionable statements, but don't seem to put forth any effort. For instance, Fox has said all along that Wahle would play guard and he announced some time ago that Gross would play right tackle, but Scouts Inc has us taking Barron so that "Mike Wahle could move back inside to his natural guard position, and Jordan Gross could remain at left tackle." Disagreement on such a speculative enterprise is natural, but these guys aren't even trying anymore.

So now he starts to fall, the day before the draft, based not on any game situations but soley on the fact that these guys need to publish something differant?

It's a tough year for the "experts", outside of the top ten there is just a huge logjam of mediocre talent.

This happens every year. Usually it's a matter of teams never being as high on him as draftniks, and sources finally let some of that information out. Sometimes it's just a matter of circumstance, which would be the case for Aaron Rodgers (like Deuce McAllister several years back).
