    freakin weird. I watched this for the first time too, on Sunday nite. Agreed on the first 45 min. I could not come up with a good solution to shortening it, but Peter Jackson sure could have. Effects are incredible. Cockroaches and worms...!!!!

    Yeah, that movie doesnt get going till they hit Skull Island. Then its on.

    Id imagine there will be an extended cut. Looked to me like they skipped alot when they captured Kong.

    I forgot how damn sad this thing was. Only thing worse was Old Yeller. I wish Kong woulda smashed everyone of those planes and then killed all the rest of those pricks that brought him there. :mad:

    Anyway, I thought the movie was decent after the first 45 minutes, but the special effects would have been a lot better on a better TV or in the theater. I haven't graduated to HDTV yet.

    Yup, they should have cut the first part to about 15 minutes or so. The same setup could have gotten across in a lot less time.

    about halfway through the boat trip I figured it was a comedy and that's all I could stand
