Agree. I like the other pieces on paper and think he is the biggest and most overlooked question mark on offense.

I really doubt he'll be worse than Hartwig, but he needs to be a good bit better. I suspect it'll take a while into the year before the young guys get comfortable .

I tend to be on the other end of the spectrum. The more I think about special teams, the more worried I get. Lloyd was a good addition, yes, but if our coverage scheme and lane discipline isn't up to par, we all better be praying for touchbacks.

For what it's worth, Smitty seems to be impressed with Otah since he's been on the field, so it looks like we have the talent...it's just a matter of them playing well together. Personally, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Lloyd better be able to put it in the end zone every time. I know NFL teams have had two kickers some, but it hasn't been that often. I'd personally like to find someone that could kick off and kick field goals - use the roster spot for someone else.

It seems obvious to me we're auditioning for Kasay's sucessor. If this guy can get us FP he meets one requirement. We all know damn well that without a 35 mph tail wind Kasay will not give us a touchback.

edit: I guess I see one year like this, I don't see how Kasay can really do the job much longer.

true enough. All this is worth about as much as the paper it's not printed on.
We have more talent and more continuity at DT than at DE. Anyone who feels DE is better than DT, why?

I just wish it didn't take basically having to put a bullet to Hurney's and Fox's heads to make a bold move in the draft like we did...we're too predictable.
