Things seem genuinely better for the offensive side of the ball, which has really been the problem the past couple of years.

06 was, IMO, undertalented. 07 was as well, and obviously the interior line went to shit to go with QB issues. We've got a lot more competition, more speed, and some realistic ability at WR outside 89, so there's reason to see some improvement.

But who knows. The youth may not respond right off, we could have a bunch more problems. The O could just suck. I'm excited because of the possibilities but room for error is large.

Hell, I'm as excited about our TE's as I am about the RB's and WR's...especially if Barnidge turns out to be as good as advertised. King is solid and catches everything thrown to him and Rosario is looking like he has some real playmaking ability. I can't wait to see what he can do in his second year.

The only real question mark for this offense, aside from Delhomme's health, is how the new O-line will play together. They have the individual talent, but they need to become a cohesive unit very quickly if they're gonna really be good.

I sound like a broken record but it's on the OL. We have weapons enough that if a D focuses on shutting down one aspect they'll be weak somewhere else and we should be able to take advantage, as long as the OL allows us to function properly.

I think getting Otah up to snuff is going to be the crutial cog to this O-line machine running well. The other members have been there and done that even tough it may have been in another spot or on another team in the past. Breaking in the rook and having him play well from the get-go is what will make or break our running game in the first several games; that and dodging the injury bug.

I'm worried about the DL AND the OL. The defensive line looks extremely shaky to me right now. I'm hoping they surprise me but that unit has been slipping the last couple of years and I don't see anything that really upgraded it in the off season. The OL should be interesting as well. They did at least try to improve that so I'm actually more positive about an improvement there.

Man, we say this same shit every year after the draft.

That said, I really like this team on paper. I am a little worried about DT, as Elric said, though I am neutral-to-upbeat about the DEs. The backers and secondary are gonna rock, and I agree with everything being said about the O. I like this team.

I think the biggest improvement will be on special teams. At least talent-wise. Connor, Godfrey, and Taylor - if he makes the team, should contribute right away. Unless Crossman is a bigger idiot than any of us ever thought.

    Almost impossible.

ST... Lloyd may be the best thing we've done there, he could get us 10-15 yards of FP on a regular basis.
