Sounds like a good time to me! Hopefully I can get to the theater one night this week.

Hang around in East Texas, work in the oilfield for 8 months, and join the military, and you might agree that some people DO really talk like that. :)

Ditto. We went to see te movie Sunday and were really stunned by the fight choreography and acting - definitely not what I was expecting. The story was actually quite believable and while I think that movie set a whole new record when it came to dismemberment - it did it in a way that was sooo extreme it was funny.

The one thing I was a little disappointed with (only one) is that the commercials and previews made it out to be a whole lot campier. I was expecting it to be almost Batman and Robin'ish when it came to bad jokes and the like.

All in all I would highly recommend it - but leave the kiddies at home.

WOW. It was live action anime. Me taking cinematography this semester really helped me appreciate this film even more. All I can say is incredible.

I used to talk like that when I was 20 and in the minor leagues,. We talked worse than a movie ever coud, but QT's movies use cursing way too excessively. Nothing wrong with using it when its need, but if its noticable, then it's excessive, IMO.

I always thought if you could pull off good entertainment without the excessive cursing, you had more talent.

Don't get me wrong, I'll watch this flick and probably like it, just as I did Res- Dogs and Pulp fiction, but the constant MFers and Gd's wear on me after about 100 of them have been dropped in 30 minutes.

About the only time I can see the need for that constant swearing is in war flicks.

I think Michael Moore needs to make a movie called "Bowling for Terratino." I am sure these swords will be the cause of some mass killing somewhere and all swords need to be registered and controlled.

Yes, its like a live action anime. The blood spurting is so exaggerated its hilarious.

True Romance, Resivoir Dogs, even PF to a great extent, had an indy feel. This is QT’s Hollywood Big Budget Blockbuster movie, all pumped up on untraceable steroids.

“Those of you who still have your lives, you may take them with you. But leave your limbs, they belong to me now.”

Much better effort than “Jackie Brown.”

I can see it now... Moore going to a Japanese master swordsmith's house uninvited, sitting down to debate him, and leaving a photo of a drive-by decapitation victim on the front steps after he's thrown out. :)
