    Bears | Turning Toward FA For QB Help? - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
    7:19 PT: Updating previous reports, the Chicago Sun-Times reports the Chicago Bears aren’t likely to address their QB situation with their No. 4 pick in the first round of the NFL Draft in April. Instead, they are looking toward free agency for help at the position, and are seriously pondering taking a defensive player if they stay at the No. 4 spot. New Orleans Saints backup QB Jake Delhomme is a strong possibility for the Bears, and he would likely be supplemented with a rookie QB in either the late first round – if they trade down – or the early second round.

    noow let draft a QB and let draft Musa Smith in second round

    Nothing personal against Musa Smith, but, if we draft him the vein in my forehead might just explode. The last thing we need is another injury prone running back!:scared2: :scared2:

    Why would they announce their draft strategy and a free agency target to the Chicago Sun-Times? If they are genuinely interested in Delhomme they just drove up his price by tipping their hand.
    Either they are blowing smoke, or blowing their cover.
    It “blows” either way.

    Foster did have a slight history of injuries in college, regardless though injuries happen, especially with running backs. It just isn't a good sign when a player has missed time every season in college with injuries. to me
    that = injury prone

    Sorry Dukey, but everyone knew that Foster was injury prone in college. And that he liked to park in handicapped spaces without the right to do so.

    it's about follow through. Sign someone.

    On the other hand, they're doing this to show teams they want a QB, not to say "we're not going to do this in the draft".

    So what do they do in the draft then? Suggs to bolster the line? They certainly don't need receivers.

    So in other words they're going to forego the ability to have a long term QB in order to have a guy who'll win another game or two to save the coaches' asses.
