Yup. Me too on the 3rd person thing.

If Yamini could replace both Hankton AND Bates on the roster that would be sweet but it seems unlikely. I remember seeing somewhere that Yamini has some speed and shiftiness . . . can anyone confirm that, or am I dreaming again?

you sure about that?? because the wa I've understod it players on the IR don't count against the team's salary cap... I've had that belief for a few years now

He's right. Iv'e seen many many articles saying it counts. That's why teams like to go into the season with some cap room. When they put players on IR, it eats it up.

The good cap news was that he will only count minimum on IR because it was an incentive based contract. I thought he had more in his base salary.

if the tendon is completely severed....forget about him playing this year...it might even be his career. from the top of my head the two players I can remember who had this injury are testaverde and bryant westbrook....I wanna say trent dilfer too. vinnie is a QB and doesn't have to stop, start, plant, twist, jump, etc....he was able to comeback. westbrook was having a pro-bowl season at CB when he hurt his. he came back late the following year to be completely ineffective. the cowboys took a chance on him thinking he could recover after detroit didn't re-sign him....cowboys cut him (which shows he obviouly sucked)...he's now a backup CB in green bay (if he makes the team) and a shadow of his former self.

there's just too much atrophy involved in not just in the calf muscle but the whole leg. Once the cast comes off, the tendon is stiff as hell and it too has to be strengthened and flexibility restored.

Have to come to an injury settlement, and he won't likely agree. Can't just cut him.

I'd certainly take Gadsden but he is - as you said - a possesion guy and won't get deep. There is a reason nobody has thrown a lot o $$ his way.

Stokes - no thanks. Just not impressed with him at all.

Ismail - Old but could help for now. He can get deep on occasion as a #2 receiver but he really isn't in Dyson's league as far as potential.

What is the Rocket doing now? Did he retire?

Freeman would help right now - although I don't love the guy - he at least still produces somewhat.
