The first step to not being an addict anymore is to not try to blame anyone else but yourself for your addiction.

    hmmm, where do i start?

i called the guy selfish because he allowed himself to become an addict and therefore left children without their father. because of that, i was called an ass, stupid, and ignorant. wow.

first of all, what does being the Padres spring training instructor have to do with this? if anything, it was the Padres giving him another chance to clean up his act...and he couldn't do it. according to the Padres GM Kevin Towers:

"When I saw him in spring training, he didn't look good. I'm not surprised."

you mentioned several of the drugs that he abused, but you left out a very important one. Steroids. He admitted to using them on more than one occasion. He didn't do it for his team...i did it for himself. it was mostly because of these steroids that he was able to pocket over $30 million playing the game of baseball. you gonna dispute that wasn't selfish?

lastly, comparing his mistakes (plural, not singular as you say) to any that i have made is ignorant in itself. you know nothing of my life, and therefore, any of the mistakes i may or may not have made.

true, but I do know you have never been addicted to anything, and chances are you have not led a mistake free life.

Oh, and it's just the "I'm better than he, or anyone else who has made a mistake or did something selfish" attitude that really bothers me.
