I searched for any comments by Kearse after that nasty hit on Sunday, but couldn't find anything. However, I did an interesting comment from him after thethe Tennessee game in 2003, when he stated the following:

"We wanted to come in and stop their run and make them try to throw the ball," defensive end Jevon Kearse said. "Then we wanted to knock Jake Delhomme out of the game and get some of (backup) Rodney Peete."

I wonder if he was harboring some of that same desire to knock Jake out of the game?

Maybe, but I was thinking they wanted to get their #5 some payback from last year too. Just how it hit me at the time.

when/if he gets a fine you will probably hear something, not that he would ever admit it was intentional. I too think it was an unoffical game plan to knock the shit outa Jake as some payback.

i would think that its the unofficial game plan for most defenses. jake got the double blow, the helmet to helmet contact from his own player was the worst of the two. freaks was more on the shoulder than the helmet but it did propel jake into the lineman.

I honestly don't see a fine coming. He hit the shoulder and came up through. He did lead with his head though.

My problem with it, is he lead with the head. Funny how (not on topic) Vick gets breathed on heavy- being a 'running QB' and all, and the flags fall like rain, and many other QBs get pummelled thruout a game and flags are nowhere to be seen.
