Would Kap start over any top 15 QB in the NFL? Doubt it.

No, but he gives SF a better chance to win in the playoffs.

That would be too good to be true.

Forget all his picks and all the good shit he does, playing like Tillman ripping balls and causing fumbles, but for the name alone it'd be friggen sweet.

most players who have a handful (omglol) of starts don't have the ability to say that. But, if the 9ers have to be "game managed" and limit the opportunities of the offense based on what the QB can do safely, I don't see why there'd be a hesitance to do that with a promising rookie. They did it for a year and a half with Smith, and it works out well enough, but the only added thing Smith gives is experience. And if he can't hit it downfield or take a chance occasionally, I don't know that it's any better. At this point, 8 years in or however, I don't know if he'll ever be more than that, the cautious and efficient, but somewhat benign Trent Dilfer he is.

I'm glad to see him have success. I liked him coming out. Doesn't hurt to have Harbaugh.

That offense really is built for any semi decent QB to have success in.

Harbaugh actually made Alex look like a decent QB.

Can you imagine what Cam would look like in that O.

He'd be a bad fit. That offense needs someone accurate, smart, and risk-averse.
