Harbaugh's a great offensive coach, ours isn't. Then again the Bears offense was never a threat so it's not like Kap ever had to really fight to keep his team in the game.

A quality offensive line can make any quarterback look good. That said:

    Colin Kaepernick – 6'5” 233 2nd round, 36th overall
Colin Kaepernick is a long and gangly athlete whose herky-jerky motions make him look like anything other than an NFL quarterback, but in actuality he has the potential to become one of the better long-term starters out of this class. He has impressive speed and quickness for his size, but much more importantly, he consistently showed intelligence and accuracy while leading the Nevada offense. He showed good touch on short and deep throws, evidencing a natural feel for passing. Kaepernick has a lot of work to do in terms of his footwork, and also would benefit from shortening the load in his throwing motion. He is a project for Jim Harbaugh and will hopefully sit for two seasons before competing for a starting job, but Colin definitely has the talent and approach to be a solid starter for San Francisco.

yep just one game agreed, he did however audible more than Cam has since he's been here, looked a hellava lot more like he knew what he was doing too.

I don't really blame Cam though, I don't think he's been coached worth a damn.
Halfway thru his 2nd season and he's not allowed the ck off plays at the line?

I am not sure if that speaks more about the coaching or him or both

He has a strong team around him and a staff that knows to prepare a Qb to play football ... Our staff doesn't seem to be capable of preparing any phase of the game

Most definately. Think I read somewhere that that team has more 1st rounders on it than any other in the NFL. They are bareing the fruits right now but I dont see how they are gonna be able to keep everyone long term.
If they had Hurney they probably would have lost a few already.

I am jealous of Harbaugh too, watching all those wham blocks, hell they even had Leonard Davis splitting out wide. Harbaugh uses a little bit of everything.
But make no mistake about it, our OL is nothing compared to what they have. Even Crabtree is finally coming around.

Kinda makes you want to draft a OT/OG combo in the draft. Either a Luke Joekel/Barrett Jones como or trade down for a G like Warmack and try to snag Matthews in round 2. Maybe we can get a FS if we can pick up a late 2 or 3.
