I stopped hating bonds a long time ago and now he just makes me laugh.

I think I can agree that many blacks, even rich privaledged kids like Bonds, have experienced racism at one point or another.


Also interesting that he came to bat for Big Mac as well. Put together such a rousing argument that even I began to believe Macs frame was built on nothing but hard work and over the counter medications.

But somehow the cynic in me that those words, and much of the rest of the interview, was less true than the above.

 

what does race have to do with 'roids? he took them, he admitted it, hes just trying to push it off on something else.

 

Not sure. But was the question he was asked their about steriods? Or about Ruth?


I'm not so much defending Bonds, as I am wondering why all the negative attention is heaped on him (and not others) when he just had the most success in a "juiced" era.

 

Don't know about the question, but trying to act like all of this attention is being heaped on him because he is a black guy chasing a white guy's record is what gets me. Bonds is getting so much attention because he admitted to cheating.

 

I can't believe Piper didn't get that

Is Bonds getting that much more attention than Giambi? I really don't think so.
