Just wondering about making Mills the DC, and then bringing in a guy like (damn me for this) Kevin Greene as the LB coach. The theory behind it would be having Mills for game planning and integrity, but bringing in a guy with lots of fire in his belly to match what would be a drop off in intensity between Del Rio and Mills.

Greene was an outstanding 3-4 linebacker. We don't know if he can coach at all, let alone this system.

And it would be the first time we ever had a coach choke a player.

Hmm. Intriguing idea, to say the least. He'd definitely bring the fire, but could he bring the brains? Remember, we still have some very young starters at LB and in depth. I feel we still need a 'teacher', and I just don't know if Greene can play that role. It would be interesting, though. I definitely wouldn't rule him out. I think he should get a look at least.

I don't see Green coming into the fold. Either way it will be someone Fox has worked with before...someone who knows his philosophy and his tendencies.
