Bucs win could help 2 Panthers

SAN DIEGO - The chances of Carolina Panthers defensive linemen Julius Peppers and Kris Jenkins going to the Pro Bowl could increase dramatically if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win Super Bowl XXXVII.

Peppers is the NFC's first alternate at defensive end and Jenkins is the first alternate at defensive tackle.

Tampa Bay defensive end Simeon Rice and defensive tackle Warren Sapp are on the Pro Bowl roster, but that could change with a victory Sunday.

There is talk out of Tampa that the Bucs would hold a parade in Florida on Monday or Tuesday. That would create a difficult travel schedule for Sapp and Rice, who would fly from San Diego to Tampa and turn around for the trip to Hawaii. -- PAT YASINSKAS

its still possible Rice and Sapp will go to the ProBowl, but there's BETTER chance they won't show now.

I kind of hope they don't get named. All it does is drive up their $ value in the open market.

I have a feeling we'll be okay with Peppers considering he's here for another 6 years

a hold out after at 4 game suspension would be a stupid move. One would hope his agent would advise him against it.

I'm kinda surprised about JP not making Howie's Tuff Guy Team. Wonder if the Suspension hurt him there?

I'm SHOCKED Sauerbrun didn't make it.

If Peppers holds out before at LEAST 4 years he didn't want to play here in the first plave... and if that were true he'd have NEVER signed a 7 year deal... no moron would do that
