So my sister is a health freak.. I mean really. I can't say it's healthy, I can't tell you she's right, but she had to buy a separate cabinet for her herbs, vitamins, supplements etc.....to give you an idea of what a fanatic she is. She eats nothing, absolutely nothing that isn't from the health food store. She bitches if anyone else does :). She buys her juice because she says it takes her so much time, energy, effort etc... to do it. She says with the baby, my schedule and actually keeping veggies in the house, it will be more stressful to do it and it will outweigh the benefits. She's spot on that I hate to go to the grocery store.... I DETEST IT. Honestly, I would rather someone slap me than for me to have to go, but I do. She says she had to go around 3-4 times a week and it just wasn't worth it. She also thinks I might stop doing it and waste my money on the juicer. She's willing to let me try hers to see if I like it first.
I should add here that she has MS and Lupus. At one time she walked with a cane, had to have radiation and all her hair fell out, was having problems with her vision and she now works out 3 days a week for 3 hours, is able to do anything she pleases and looks great, so she can't be very wrong. ;)

Earth Fare or any health food store should sell carrot and other vegetable juices. V8 has loads of sodium and probably a lot of sugar. I would say that she would say no, but hey I love the stuff, especially when malaria is pending.
She said don't buy the green juice, she says if she can't drink it- no one can.

What kind of stuff did you juice that helped you? You mentioned carrots and apples, anything else? I am not sick, that I know of anyway, but I am curious about it.

No they are not - not in my opinion anyway. There is too much sugar in the fruit for one, and the minerals and vitamins found in vegetables are more intense than those found in some fruits. That's not to say that you can't add some fruits to your vegetable juice - but on the whole, you will get more from a glass of freshly juiced vegetables as opposed to a smoothie based with milk etc.

    Now I'm craving a V8.

On time I juiced a pineapple, didn't even have to peel it just cut the top off. It was awesome. Almost like a smoothie.

Ok so, I had my carrot juice this morning.

My carpet may have it this afternoon.
