Has everyone always heard Judas is in hell?

    Why?

If he repented he's not, we don't know.

Scripture isn't exactly clear, though some try to say it is.

The gospel of Matthew says that Judas returned to the priests repenting of his betrayal of Jesus and returned the money. They used the money after he killed himself to buy the land he died in and use it as a cemetary for foreigners.

The gospel of John quotes Jesus as referring to Judas as His lost disciple:

Some try to say that suicide is the unforgivable sin and cite Judas. I disagree, as scripture says the unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

I find the "Jesus Christ Superstar" interpretation of Judas as a politcal resister appealing, thought there's only a little evidence for such interpretation.

I still believe this to be the most plausible explanation of Judas's acts. I just don't think Jesus would bring someone into discipleship for the explicit purpose of evil betrayal. Judas, like most of the disciples, didn't really 'get' Jesus, and thought he was supposed to be a literal king, so he tried to instigate action.

I agree with Paladin. If he was repentant at the end, he was saved. If he wasn't, he wasn't. We probably won't know until we get there ourselves.

    Yep, according to Jesus' parable.
