My bet is if he plays for the 9ers next year (or anybody with an average to below average front 7), he won't be nearly as good as he was here in 2015. He's had one good/great year. One. Of course you guys suck, so even if he's shitty, it will be an upgrade and certainly a big deal if he was to depart your team after average contribution.

That's quite a prophecy. Don't quit your day job. Dudes a top 3 corner in the league and coming off a SB appearance. Of course he can command such large jack.

Yes, the 49ers are bad right now, but it's better than rooting for a team that's a never was.

And btw, if we played your shitty schedule we'd have a lot of wins as well. How'd that 15-1 work for ya when it counted? Easy to talk smack when your team plays Tampa x2, NOx2, and Atlantax2.

We'll be playing you guys and all the West this year, we'll see. We also played your 2 best when 'it counted' last year. How'd that go?

3-0 last year against the west.

    Sure, Norman contributed to that.

Not saying that your team isn't good. I'm saying that they just weren't good enough when it counted.

Silly to me that Carolina would let him go w/out a fight.

None of us knows right now if they did or didn't, or what kind of fight he put up either.

Perhaps, but cancer starts and spreads over BS like this. Seems that after coming off a SB appearance that most any team would want to keep things intact and make minor adjustments. NORMAN IS A FREAKING ALL PRO! The mere mentioning of losing/not fighting to re-sign such an impact player sends a bad vibe throughout the entire organization. Ya know, shit like "he busted his ass and helped us get to a SB, WTF are they going to do to me?"

See Trent Baalke, dude. Bad precedent.

Either way, I'd like to have the guy. And maybe he's not as good as he once was. Maybe he isn't worth what he's asking. I'd take him and pay him purely for the swag and aggressiveness that he brings with the hope of it rubbing off on a secondary that has mass potential. Plus, SF can seemingly afford him.

2014 was an OK to good year, not great.
