He was a late second round pick. No biggie - scratch it off.

I agree. He could end up being ok, but I don't feel like waiting around to find out. I don't like him. I get a strong David Carr vibe. Try someone else.

He just needs a glove to be David Carr.

Way too early to judge Clausen. C'mon, he played behind a patchwork line with a pair of rookie WRs. He can still be good. Maybe.

But it would be the ultimate in stupidity to count on him next year.

Bring in a vet, like McNabb or Bulger or someone who can step in and let the Ostrich sit for a year, and we might have something. Might.

You don't throw out green bananas because you don't like them. He did nothing to warrant being the starter next season, so we need to find one. However, that is not to say that Clausen won't prosper under new leadership.

Charlie Weis has probably advised him to switch.

Personally, I haven't noticed, but Jimmy has been looking much better. I hope he continues to improve.

    GO IRISH!

At best - BEST - Clausen earned the #3 qb roster spot. AT BEST.

He had ample opportunity. He failed. 3 touchdowns. 2 to wide open tight ends, one to blown coverage of an RB.

    #3 emergency qb.
