I see improvement and I don't hate him, and I don't think he sucks. I just wish the Panthers had a bigger, stronger QB. JC is not that big, he got crushed a few times yesterday. I just think about the Bmore and Tampa games where Flacco and Freeman shook off tackles and made plays. If they have a shot at getting one of these guys they need to think about it. Like Odin said you dont pass on that because of the prior draft. The Panthers by all accounts didn't think they would be this fucking bad and have a shot at the #1.

Maybe I am being too harsh on JC. You do not have to be animated to be a leader so maybe he does a better job than I give him credit for. Maybe if the rest of the offense was not such a clusterfuck he would look a lot better.

I still think you have to consider a QB in next year's draft. You do not get a top five pick very often unless you are a doormat so you need to make it count when you get one. I think you have to go BPA in that situation. If BPA is a QB then so be it.

This. The fake run then toss to goodson was also nice, and the play that was reviewed ( the lofty pass to either lafell or gettis ) was neat, too.

We have five more games. Problem though, is Moore played well for five games. At this point, Clausen hasn't even put together a game as good as Moore. So, how can we rest on what we have if Luck is there?

Seeing Delhomme yesterday made me glad we cut him. We were already in QB purgatory in 2008 but didn't know it yet.

agree with those who want to draft a QB if we get that shot. Clausen has a say in this. if he can win a few, we probably won't get that shot and he remains the man. if he doesn't, well then we can just take him out and shoot him.

There is absolutely a correlation to Clausen's poor stats and our lack of veteran presence across the entire team. I'm not saying JC would be 65% with Moose, Smith and Housh. All I am saying is all these great young QB's out there have entered their rookie seasons with either better talent around them, or a much more competent OC. Or both.

By the way, has there been a bigger disaster than Rip Scherer. I mean, he seems very involved, and means well, but the results have been hideous.

Funny thing is on draft day the experts were wetting themselves over the Clausen falling to the right team with a strong oline DW, JS and Smitty as weapons. O how quickly things change in the NFL.

Id love to see Jimmy show he can be the future, and yeah Aikman went 1-15. Id love to be confident in the QB situation and plump a Fairley or Bowers on the DL for 8 years. Maybe him throwing so many balls away gives fans the wrong impression that he doesnt have IT.

All I know is new HC and all bets are off, Hurneys pick or not. I havent seen enough of Clausen to warrant passing on a #1 rated QB if that is indeed what Luck is.

You guys should catch the next Stanford game. It might make you a little wet.

I don't want to be the guy's apologist or cheerleader. Point I'm trying to make is that he grew today, had an OK day, and that's not the time to bail on him. Or, possibly to say that the last two games he's had, things have moved forward and I don't understand what suddenly got a lot worse.

I mean, masturbating over New Toy or not (and trust me I've been trying to tell y'all about the guy who made New Toy for a couple years now) the guy's story here isn't over.
