I missed this movie in the theaters but just caught it on DVD and HOLY CRAP! This movie is amazing, epic storytelling, incredible fighting scenes, great music, and the color and scenery is unbelievable. It is an extremely complicated story, and you will not get it the first time you see it until it all comes together at the end, but that just makes it so much better the second and third times you watch it.

Easily one of my top 10 best movies ever!

I'll check this out, but when it came out to theaters, the whole "presented by Quentin Tarrantino" thing put me off since he had nothing to do with the fucking movie. It looked like a money grubbing opportunity for miramax and tarrantio at the time.

If it wasn't for Tarantino, the movie would have never been released. He informed Miramax of the flick, and produced it's subtitles and advertising. He got a producer credit if I recall correctly. I'm looking forward to checking this out on DVD.

miramax already had the film rights. They just didnt know how to release it to the public since it was subtitled and different. After the success of Kill Bill, they figured if they slapped his name on it then it would sell.

Pretty bad how the actual director is shoved to the back of the case since Tarrantino is getting all the attention for this movie.

I saw this the night it came out...and yes, being a fan of Crouching Tiger, I quite enjoyed this.

    As muff said...sheer poetry.

I picked up the DVD last night. Don't know when I'll watch it since I always have the most work to do at the end of a fucking semester.
