Objection. Calls for a conclusion or statement not in evidence.

I'm gonna start treating your craptastic arguments for what they are: logical fallacies, assumptions and suppositions.

If you tried this crap in court, you'd be censured just for being annoyingly ineffective.

How has the republican party showed a lack of compassion for its fellow man? Turning the other cheek is on a personal level not for governments charged with protecting its citizens. The bible has multiple examples of the jews fighting wars with God's approval.

The evidence is there for those without a personal stake in not seeing. Your opinion on Republicans has been made repeatedly clear yet you refuse to take to task Democrats for calling into question the morals of those who would deny healthcare, prescription drugs, affordable housing, hell you name it, to those who don't have it all in the name of morality. I can't make it any clearer than that.

Yeah, the history of the reublican party is rife with New Deal type legislation to help our disadvanatged, tax cuts for charitable donations, and the establishment of federal and state programs to feed, clothe and educate our children. I just conveniently forgot all of it.

Besides the hypcoracy of the republican religious stances. the pubs also kill me with every theory that says that if they get to keep more of their money, they'll give more to charity, without an incentive to do so. Bull. Without incentives, they'll just hoard. Same with big corporations. At least they are incented to do so from a PR standpoint. Private citizens are not.

When the government spends money on one person it has to take it from another. That is not my definition of compassion.

Every one of your statements is a bong load of inflated assumptions and logical fallacies.

Now you are trying to imbed one inside another by not only saying that the democrats have "[called] into question the morals of those who would deny healthcare, prescription drugs, affordable housing... ...in the name of morality", but that I have already stated a position ("refusal") on it. :shakehead

My whole point is and has always been that you are pathetically one sided. One that I have proven. I would call into question your debating skills too if I had been thrashed as terribly as you in this thread.

This is getting way too political for a religious thread. If you guys want to continue this debate of social responsibility and welfare philosophies of Democrats and Republicans, please do so in another thread in R&R or NOTD. Thanks. :)

Substitute the word "Socialism" for "Liberalism", and I'd agree that does happen a lot.

I'd agree with that as well.

I don't agree that was the point of the passage, but still it's not a bad illustration of your point, which I happen to agree with.
