Assuming the commonly accepted image of Christ as it's been passed down to us is true, I'd probably say he would favor the Democratic Party, but not be a member himself. Despite the GOP's favoritism for Biblical religion and the Pro-Life platform, its track record on compassion for the poor and downtrodden, acceptance of one's fellow man, and the old favorite, turning the other cheek, is lacking.

The Democrats wouldn't be off the hook either. Just as I could never picture Jesus telling a single welfare mother to "get off her butt and get a job," I can't realistically picture him ever supporting abortion. The alleged "moral decay" of America is often laid at the Democratic Party's feet, and I think Jesus would probably go along with that as well.

In the most likely instance, Christ would go independent and have Paul write nasty e-mails to the head committees of the Big Two. He would chide the Pubs to quit being money-grubbing jerks who push others around and bomb every country that looks at us funny. And he would scold the Democrats for being permissive, wishy-washy wimps who have allowed stupidity to run rampant in America.

I can not answer that question but I do know he directed the Israelites to undertake a bunch of wars in the old testament. I also know that the president is a man who prays and seeks God's guidance.
