Galethog, I am truly sorry for your experiences with your parents, and especially your father. I have lost several close loved ones to cancer, and I know it's a horrible way to go.

I am not trying to argue with you on this but what kind of cases would you cite. What do you think the signs are of true demon possession. I would stand by saying that Bin Laden is demon influenced even if he does not know it.

NP, I have been guilty of the name calling as well and realize how easy it is to let fly. But hasbeens is trying to keep the discourse civil in here.

I hate you had to see your family go through that as well but it is my personal belief and hope that they are in a better place now. I realize you may feel differently.

 

People who are evil simply for the sake of being evil. Child molesters were often molested themselves and Bin Laden thinks he is doing good. To me a demon possessed person understands they are doing evil and don't care.

I read a book when I was younger by Frank Peretti (two actually), This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness that I thought described demon possession pretty well.

Could it not be the case that someone like Bin Laden lead people to believe he is thinks his cause is just but secretly knows it is not? I certainly do not want to come off as taking any blame off people who do evil by simply attributing it to demons.

I think you are attaching the need for the person to be irrational inorder for demon possession to be present, is that correct?

 

Anything could be the case. In fact, I'm starting to think you may have a demon or two running around in your head.
