    yeah crazy. you knew he couldn't last forever, but it's surprising he'd go out like he did. i would have expected him to leave more on his own terms. this feels a bit like he's leaving because of something other than his desire to move on.

    I thought it was surprising, but apparently there's a pretty bad history between him and Deron Williams. I can't say that if it came down to the choice between the two of them, I would have made a different decision.

    Yeah, Sloan probably just figured he was too old to put with the crap and said the hell with it.

    One of the greatest coaches of all time in NBA, I am sure he was tired of the player issues that arise. If a player was the reason, Utah made a huge mistake.
    His assistant retired as well stating he came with Jerry and would leave with him. Tyrone Corbin, new Coach, maybe he can handle things, he surely knows the game.
    Sloan was loved in Southern Illinois, his son played for a small HS there in the 80's.
