    didn't see a column, but my guess is two things. the difference in maggette/jackson salaries for the next two years is about 1.86 million(CM makes more) so the cash makes the trade a wash salary wise-clearly it was about the # 7. The other is someone gives you 2m for the rights to a non-guaranteed contract, well thats easy money.

    however,I don't see the logic if the bobcats are trying to stockpile picks/young talent, which they pretty much are.

    yeah, i can't figure out what the bobcats are doing. they keep making these lateral moves -- trading expiring contracts for other expiring contracts or big contracts for other big contracts.

    Tyler is exactly the type of low percentage but high upside guy that Charlotte should be trying to develop. That kind of athletic size is extremely rare, so I just don't understand selling that pick. It seems like if you're in that desperate need for money, then the franchise is truly fucked.
