My grandfather was on for almost 50 years and was one of the main recruiters on Long Island for years. Just wondering what you guys out there thought of them.

harmless cranks really, at most a minor incovience. The lead tool maker in our shop was one. He didn't bother anyone, but if you started tryna convert him you wound up collecting unemployment rather quickly.

    it's 144,000.

i was raised in this religion from the age of 9 and quit going when i turned 18. not so much because of the teachings, they know the Bible inside and out, but because of the whole gay thing.

I do not think they hold the same gospel message as do most christians. They are border line cult in my book.

    How so?

Other than not celebrating birthdays ( somebody got beheaded (John?) at some chick's birthday party ), Christmas ( pagan holiday ), accepting blood transfusions ( can't remember the scripture at this moment ), they pretty much follow the Bible and have the same basic teaching as the Catholic and Baptist religions (I attended both churches for a while).
