Jeffers and Vinson Cut!

    yeah, a little now and a little more next year. $2.4 mil free next year is a lot of money considering he was fifth highest salary. Between him and Gilbert, they're the only of the $1 mil plus category on the roster I'd find money for in 2003.

    So who are bubble players either at WR or CB out there that would take 900 k?

    depends. If we end up getting a guy it'll either be an aging vet who is a fringe player, or a young guy who washed up like Troy Edwards/Reidel Anthony. Not much out there at all.

    i'd gladly take an aging vet if he can get open and catch the ball ... and he won't affect our cap next year. any chance of that?

    I think Watkins was one of out NFL Europe allocations, so we didn't have to cut him yet (they are exempt I think in this round).

    Jeffers is a good guy but this move needed to happen. You can't carry players with that kinda salary because you he's a swell guy. Our cap picture should look damn good next year during FA.

    I would cut Gilberts ace next. Doe boy has worn out his welcome IMO.
