White's return tells me that Stoops is not going to be taking any Pro offers.

Who knows though, money talks. And I really don't think White is just staying for Stoops.

I think Stoops likes Norman too much to leave.

Consider this, Stoops lobbies for the extra year...why would he bother if he had any intention to leave. Why would White stay if Stoops hadn't was leaving...new coach, new system...that's a lot of time to spend on things other than your game.
Kirk Ferentz will leave Iowa before Stoops leaves OU, and I don't expect Ferentz to leave til his son graduates in three more years.

From what I've read, White lobbied for the extra year of eligibility of his own volition. I haven't heard one single source that says Stoops lobbied for White to stay. He knows he's not a day 1 pick, and should be able to improve his position in next year's draft. Everything I've heard doesn't mention Stoops lobbying him to stay.

And until the NFL season ends, there's really no telling who will interview where and what kind of offers they will get. It's plain ridiculous to think that Stoops will stay just because White is there another year. I have a feeling he'll stay myself, but when it comes down to it, White wouldn't stop him from taking an NFL job.

Alot of the things Stoops says to a microphone could very well be financial posturing, but I don't think so. I really think he just loves the college game and it's all still pretty new, or at least hasn't lost it's luster to him yet. When you sence that he has become content, then you can expect him to make a move.

From White's perspective, if I were a player faced with the choice of Pro or play another year of college, I'd have to think about some things. Naturally where you'll be drafted is top of the list. But then if I knew I was going to be playing for a different coach, I might consider leaving.

I don't think one would stay for the other, but that they would stay or leave for thier own reasons. I am sure White talked to Stoops & Long extensively while making his decision and continuity would be something that would have to effect my decision in that situation.

I agree with all of that, but my point is, that until NFL teams start interviewing guys, continuity at Oklahoma is pure speculation, and if Stoops is the kind of guy I think he is, then he made sure that Jason knew of the possibility of him leaving.
