He was not grimacing or acting like he was in a lot of pain. I hope he is not out long. He has been playing very well so far this year.

Collin--the throw - with no contact - was his last play, and yes, I saw him grab that elbow, and immediately thought bad things. He was grabbing the OUTSIDE of it, so it wouldn't be the same area of a "Tommy John" thing, since the scars from TJ surgery are on the inner arm. Still, he was in pain, and did drop to the turf (wisely to get the TO).

In postgame, Jake said he felt discomfort after being sacked because the ATL players were trying to rip the ball out. He said it didn't feel "right" after that play, and then on his last throw, he said enough was enough. He threw the TD pass to King after the injury occurred....makes you wonder if he damaged it more by continuing to play.

He had that sleeve on it during the remainder of the game, and an ice wrap in postgame.

No, it is. As I said, I've had my ulnar nerve inflamed and it's exactly the area he was grabbing. With the TJ surgery, though, they go in from the other side. Good to know about the coaching staff asking him to go down, though. Hopefully that means that it is just inflammation and not some more serious damage to the ligament.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.....Well, I think we're all hoping for inflammation, strain rather than anything being detached.

With the current information that sounds likely, but none of us will know until later today. Hell, it might not be the ligament at all and might just be a bone bruise in that area.

Oh, and I'm obviously not doctor but as far as I'm aware the ligament itself runs through the middle of the elbow while the ulnar nerve runs along that back ridge. When something happens to the ligament, the nerve becomes inflamed.
