maybe formidable isnt the right word- its an upgrade. i honestly believe if we complement moose with a legit #2, he'll have a solid year. smith wont face the opposing teams no.1 or 2 corner, and could turn into more of a vertical reciever.

i agree about defense in the 1st round..

I think Moose, Smith and a Rookie/FA would be a pretty solid trio.
I think Moose needs to take a pay cut but, when healthy he has been solid.

    Moose 66.7 yards per game(if healthy?-over 16 games) =1067
    Smith 56.8 yards per game(over 16 games)=908

considering that they have played in a conservative offense with a trio of Peete, Weinke, and Fasani throwing them the ball, those numbers are pretty damn good.

If we can add a big time rookie or FA into the mix with a solid starting Qb we could be atleast formidable on offense.

Delhomme would be a perfect addition to the team add a 2nd round QB and resign Rodney for the mentor/3rd qb role and I like where we are at.

This offense doesn't require a gunslinger, just a patient QB who is going to make the play that can be made. Delhomme or King would be My preference...Plummer, NO!
Dilfer would be a fine 1-2 year solution, but at a price.
